November 15, 2006; Atlanta, GA – Gallery Eleven50 presents an exhibition of contemporary, abstracted and mixed medium works of Atlanta based artist Maxey Andress.

The exhibition titled “Fragmented – New Works by Maxey Andress” defines Maxey’s desire to re-enter the Atlanta Art community after a prestigious and successful career in the advertising and creative business world.

“The exhibition conveys Maxey’s spirituality and intuition while his background in editing and presenting work with precision gives the images finality,” says Dorothéa Bozicolona-Volpe, curator for Midtown’s Gallery Eleven50. Mr. Andress conveyed, “With my work I want to describe that alchemy that sometimes turns old palettes into paintings, energetic expressions into flights of fancy and idioms into graphic drawings. The work is marked with a tenacious spirit, calligraphic markings and a bold use of color.” “The exhibition of his body of work fits perfectly with the objectives of Gallery Eleven50 to bring fresh, emerging, provocative art to Altanta’s cultural center in Midtown.”
